Pora v The Queen (New Zealand)
The appeal hearing in this matter has now been listed for Tuesday 4 November and Wednesday 5 November 2014 (beginning at 10.30am both days, adjourning at 1600 each afternoon).
The composition of the Board has yet to be decided, but Chief Justice Elias has accepted an invitation to sit on the appeal. It is the practice of the JCPC occasionally to invite judges from the jurisdiction from where the appeal arises to sit if they are members of the Privy Council, as it did in the case of Lundy v The Queen last year.
