Online educational resources for social distancing times - bringing the Supreme Court to you

During the current Covid-19 restrictions, the Supreme Court would like to continue to help students to find out about its role and work as a way of enriching their learning. We are not able to deliver our educational tours and programmes in the building at the moment, so we would like to share our online resources aimed at students of all ages with teachers and lecturers.
Schools, colleges and universities are facing challenges as they adapt to this new normality and plan engaging lessons and lectures far in advance. Schools and colleges can now find our lesson plans on diverse topics from 'Protecting Human Rights' to 'Interpreting Judgments'.
We have also produced a series of packs based on our highly successful Debate Day programme which encourages debate based on the Supreme Court's cases. Teachers can use the resources to hold debates themselves or, alternatively, we will be piloting online debates for the first time, with coaching by pro bono lawyers. You can also get an insight into the work of Justices and Judicial Assistants in videos that give a deeper understanding of the Court and aim to inspire future generations.
We are also offering virtual, interactive educational tours for groups. One of our experienced guides will talk to you about the Court, show images and answer your questions. Contact us if you would like to learn more about this.
