Facts
On 20 November 2014, the Appellant was convicted of conspiracy to commit armed robbery, robbery and murder. Christopher and Anna Outten were operators of US Gold Store in Grand Bahama. On 19 January 2013, they drove home in their truck after closing the store. A masked man armed with a handgun appeared as they arrived home. Anna Outten ran to her neighbour’s residence leaving her Gucci bag behind in the truck. Christopher Outten was shot to death in the driver’s seat. A gold necklace and charm were stolen from his trouser pocket, along with the Gucci bag. The Court of Appeal of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas dismissed the appeal against the Appellant’s convictions. The Appellant now seeks to appeal his convictions to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council.
