On 19 January 2013, they drove home in their truck after closing the store. A masked man armed with a handgun appeared as they arrived home. Anna Outten ran to her neighbour’s residence leaving her Gucci bag behind in the truck. Christopher Outten was shot to death in the driver’s seat.
