Women in Law

Come and see a pop–up exhibition outside the Supreme Court building, based on artist Catherine Yass' work Legacy. This work was originally commissioned by Spark 21 to celebrate one hundred years of women in law and to commemorate the centenary of the Sex Disqualification (Removal) Act in 2019. The pop-up exhibition puts her work in the context of the history of women in law. The exhibition will run until Sunday 24 April.

The building is open to the public and visitors are welcome to view the original artwork, which is displayed in Courtroom 2. It's possible there may be a hearing taking place in the courtroom, so please come and watch the Supreme Court in action, as long as there are seats available.

Discover too the permanent exhibition which explains the role and work of the Court.
