What is the Supreme Court? Why was it established in 2009? What types of cases does it hear?

This introductory film is primarily aimed at GCSE/Standard Grade students and explores the role and work of the Supreme Court in an accessible style. It also explains the role of the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council, the highest court of appeal for a number of Commonwealth countries and British Overseas Territories.
